Chemotherapy Side Effects

Patients begin to notice relief within 3 to 4 visits while they are receiving chemotherapy and radiation for the treatment of cancer. Regular treatments of once or twice a week helps to minimize side effects.

Acupuncture helps to relieve side effects during chemotherapy and radiotherapy, thereby allowing them to finish the recommended course of treatment. Acupuncture also helps faster recovery from inflammation and damage after the course of cancer treatments. Chinese herbs are not prescribed during or after oncology treatment unless the physician expressly approves of their use. Moving and adjusting the chi energy  (qi, vital enery) with acupuncture is only an Eastern description and does not stimulate the cancer cells to grow or migrate. Acupuncture is used for palliative care in the field of oncology.

Patient Testimonial

Jay S

After being diagnosed with ovarian cancer and beginning chemotherapy, I began to experience hot flashes and night sweats. I was also suffering from neuropathy. After trying several medications to treat both [conditions] without much success, a friend recommended Dr. Lee. I have been coming to him for several months and no longer suffer from the hot flashes. His treatment has also reduced the pain from the neuropathy and I no longer need to take pain medication. Dr. Lee’s treatment has improved the quality of my daily life and I would recommend him.
