    About 3 yeas ago, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism or
    depressed thyroid. My symptoms were lethargy, unusual
    coldness (more sweaters in August) and sleeping an
    excessive amount. I was placed on Synthroid and that
    relieved the symptoms unless I forgot to take the daily
    medication. If I forgot to take the medicine, I had immediate

    One day, I felt extremely tired and the throat began to swell
    up. Without fail at each evening, my body shivered from
    cold and the throat was very sore.
